This is a very rare opportunity to buy a completely restored, original and matching numbers Toyota FJ45 Troop Carrier. Examples like this are not commonly available, and this is the best example of a FJ45 Troop Carrier we have ever seen and offered for sale! Recently stripped with all panels, chassis, and steel components sandblasted, then painstakingly and carefully restored and reassembled to a high standard, with a focus on originality. The stunning white paintwork pairs well with the newly reupholstered seats covered in the original grey vinyl. All the back seats are there (commonly missing), with all frames refurbished and fitted with new seatbelts for every seat. Genuine sun visors, door trims, vinyl flooring, and interior accessories add to the refreshed but original look. The engine, gearbox, differentials, hubs, brakes, and steering were completely rebuilt, now performing like new. This Land Cruiser really shows why the 2F engine is so legendary — the 6-cylinder motor has plenty of power when you want it, and otherwise you’d have to give it a good rev to even know it’s on, perfectly balanced. The low ratio 4-speed gearbox, hi/lo 4x4, and front locking hubs make it the reliable and capable Land Cruiser it’s known for. The brakes, steering, hubs, axles, and differential have all been overhauled using genuine Toyota parts.

The original 16” split rims have been refurbished and painted in the traditional grey colour and wrapped in the best tyres you can buy — BF Goodrich. The driving experience is tight with the addition of new upgraded shocks, shackles, bushes, tie rod ends, and a refurbished power steering unit. Sitting in the driver’s seat, it still feels like a short wheelbase as you take corners and hit the open road, only to turn around and see the entire football team in the back seats, all while doing the speed limit comfortably.

All the glass is original Toyota, tinted for added privacy and making camping in the back very doable, and all back side windows slide open. The exterior is finished with new genuine lights, badges, trims, and seals. A Bluetooth head unit has been fitted with quality 6” Kicker speakers, the heater system works well when needed in winter, and there are plenty of windows and vents to let cool air in during summer, while the tinted glass helps keep the car cool.

This Land Cruiser spent its life in rural dry areas of Australia, so the bodywork had minimal rust prior to restoration and the floors have been kept original without the need for replacement. It has also only travelled a very humble 200,000km, which is low considering these vehicles are built to never stop going.

Although very usable and practical, this is a reliable, easy to service, but also very collectable classic Toyota. Guaranteed to appreciate in value.
